Raymond aka “Country” and “Whizzid” to family and friends graduated from the Farragut School (Brookline), Thomas Edison (Brighton), and Muriel Snowden High School (frmly Copley High) Boston. He attended Mass Bay State College (Wellesley) and Rancho Santiago College (Santa Ana, California). He excelled in his studies and was a very good artist. He was excellent in rendering mechanical archetctural drawings.
He loved, chess, pool, foreign cars, and DJ-ing, but playing basketball was his favorite. From a young age to adulthood you could find him on the courts of Boston, California, Florida and the Islands. Raymond enjoyed traveling and where there was a basketball, there was a court. You could also find him making beats or spinning vinyl around town. Raymond was also disciplined in the Martial Arts of Alpha Krav Maga. Raymond was also partial to motorcycles, which led him into getting his motorcycle license. Thankfully, a motorcycle didn't follow but a scooter did. He had a knack for fixing things, flat screens, cars, computers, etc., and U-Tube was his go to, if he needed to see how it was done.
Raymond will forever be remembered as an exceptional, respectful, loving and caring man. He was friendly and outgoing with a mild and even temperment. He seemed to have known everybody in and around Boston or out of state. He would always say “I know that person, I never forget a face” and we would say “is there anyone you don't know?”
He leaves behind his devoted mother: Deborah West, Aunt: Audrey Dotson (West) and Uncle: Douglas West and Stepdad (Pops): David Roberts. He was a devoted cousin to: Lawrence Dotson, Melanie West, Armani Dotson, “Lil” Larry Dotson, Victor Barbosa, Mesiah Monteiro and Zamyah Brown. Raymond is also survived by many loving Cousins and Friends.
