On November 9, 1961 Robert Lorenzo Turner was born to Bobby Turner Sr. (deceased) and Marie Turner (deceased) in Jersey City, New Jersey. Robert later moved to Boston where he attended Boston Public Schools. Upon graduating he joined the National Guard and served for several years. It was during that time his daughter, Guam Ellerbe, was born.

Later he had a second daughter, Leah Cleckley. In time Robert married Rhoda Beckford and they shared two children, Chantell Parker and Brandon Turner. They lived a happy life. Robert loved life and his family deeply. He was a hard working man and great grandfather to his grandchildren, Jacqui Leggett and Serenity Cleckley.
Robert was the most loving, caring, funniest brother, son, father, uncle, grandfather and friend anyone could ever know. To know him is to know that he was full of joy and could turn a frown upside down no matter what. He will truly be missed, but never forgotten.
He leaves behind his sisters: Kathey Turner, Neda Turner and Caroline Turner, his children, grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends that he loved so much.
His legacy will live on through his family.
