Alphonso(AL) Gordon was born October 27, 1968 to the late Elenora L.Gordon and Alphonso Durrette. Al was educated in the Boston public schools. He graduated from City Roots Roxbury. Al worked at numerous jobs- May Institute-Revere,Tony C'S-Somerville, and Mija Cantina and Tequila bar-Boston. Al lived life to the fullest,always with a smile on his face. He was a man with a huge heart, who would give the shirt off his back to a stranger. He was very loving and family was very important to him.
Al leaves to cherish his memories, six children Patrick Durrette, Allison, Christopher, Melanie, Nakia Massiah,and Tyler Gordon. Four grandchildren Alyssa, Jordan,Sky and Aubree. Siblings three sisters Trina and Thalia Gordon, Ma.and Keshia Durrette, Ga. Three brothers William and Labrone Gordon, Me. and Alvin Durrette, Ga. Father Alphonso Durrette, Ga. His mother Elenora Gordon preceeded him in death.
He also leaves to mourn his passing, a very special person, Joyce Durrette who was always there for him and his siblings after the passing of his mother, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, beloved friends, colleagues and extended family.
