Joseph Lee Murrell, Jr. affectionately known as "Joe or Uncle JoJo" was born July 28, 1933 to the late Deacon Joseph Lee and Deaconess Earl Virginia (Thomas) Murrell of Cambridge MA. He was the fifth of their seven children.

Joseph attended Cambridge Public Schools and graduated from Rindge Technical High School, class of 1952. Soon there after, he enlisted in the United States Marines and served until he succumbed to an injury which resulted in an early discharge in 1954. He became a truck driver for Star Market and retired in the late 80's.

He leaves to mourn his sister, Rose Frances Lee, his (3) daughters: Demetris Evette Thomas (Jennie M. Thomas), Chudney Ki-anne and Jenea Yanick Roberson (Sharon Ogakwu), 7 grandchildren, his loving caregiver of the last 11 years, Ms. Dorothy O'Connor and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Joseph will join his parents, his (3) sisters Bessie Mae, Dorothy Mae, and Francis Emma, (2) brothers Robert Sr. and Richard "Richie" in heaven where they await his arrival.

He will be remembered by his laughter, his mesmerizing smile and jovial character.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star....You had me and my siblings singing this like a little 1950s singing group when we were very young. Now you are amongst the stars yourself; shining bright. God Bless you Uncle Joe Joe....

You will be missed Uncle Jo Jo. I remember as a youngster coming to your house with my mom & dad for parties. You definitely knew how to have a good time and entertain. Always dressed to the 9’s! Full Suit, Polished Shoes and Don’t forget the Hat! Wish I could be there to send you off the right way. Love You Always.
