Hugh E. Morris Jr. of Boston, MA departed his life on July 15, 2019. Hugh, also known as JR, was born on November 27, 1954 in Boston, MA to the late Hugh E. Morris Sr. and Willa G. Morris.

Hugh met his significant other, Joanne Coleman in 1971 in Boston, MA where they had four children together and remained close friends for over 45 years.
Hugh graduated high school from English High School in 1972 and attended Stonehill College for a short time. Hugh worked for fifteen years at the Stop & Shop warehouse in Fall River, MA where he retired from in 2016. Then he went on to work part-time for SAS retail to occupy his days. Hugh took ill November of 2018 and did not recover from MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome).
Junior loved sports, a dedicated fan to all Boston teams especially the New England Patriots. He loved to watch golf and his favorite player was Tiger Woods. He enjoyed his grandchildren and family when they visited him. You could find JR riding his bike or hanging at the park with the fellas. His favorite part of the day was watching soap operas with his sister, Sandra.
In addition to his significant other, Joanne Coleman he is survived by his four children Hugh Coleman (Emily) of Boston, MA, Latisha Evans (Ricardo) of Providence, RI, Derek Coleman (Ashley) of Memphis, TN and Nadea Coleman (Kareem) of Boston, MA; sisters Sandra Morris, Debra Morris-Covington (Paul), Lael Morris, Debra Denise of New Haven, CT; brothers Ronald Morris and Stanton Morris of Boston, MA and Howard Morris. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, Jordyn, Jahniyah, Camille, Jayda, Skylar, Jahmir, Jaylen, Adonijah, Jahair, Kareem II, Juliyen, Ahmejah, Derek Jr., Ricardo Jr.., and Anthony. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
JR was preceded in death by his grandmother Rose Shealy, parents Hugh Sr. and Willa, godmother Mary Otis, his brother Thomas Morris, granddaughter Jahmyrah Evans and brother-in-law Kevin Bonds.
There will be a Viewing on Saturday July 20, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00am followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 O’clock at Riley-Antoine Funeral Home 171 Humboldt Avenue, Dorchester, MA 02121
Interment: Oak Lawn Cemetery
