Obituary

In God we shall have peace because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts.

Domingo Gonzalez Andrade, affectionately known as Big Boy/Biggie, was born on August 10, 1952 to the late Domingo Andrade Sr. and Leila Andrade, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Domingo was educated and graduated from the Boston Public Schools and attended Upward Bound at Brandeis University and completed 2 years. He worked for the MBTA from 1978 through 1993 and then worked as a Bus Monitor for the Boston Public Schools.

Domingo was blessed with 2 children, Domingo Andrade and Ernestine Andrade, the loves of his life. They both meant the world to him and he would protect them by any means necessary.

Domingo devoted his life to Christ at an early age, baptized at St. John St. Hughes and later in life when his children were born, he faithfully took them to Sunday Mass.

Domingo had a love for life and lived his life to the fullest, (always dressed to impress and styling as usual). He loved to dress, dance, and just have naturally good fun.
Domingo had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back. If he had it and you needed it you had it with no questions asked.

On June 20, 2019, after a hard fought battle, God and his infinite wisdom and mercy knew he had suffered enough and called him home to be with Him. For surely goodness and mercy had followed him all the days of his life.

Preceding him in death were his father, mother, and 2 sisters.

Domingo leaves to cherish his wife, Sharon, son, Domingo Lawrence Andrade, daughter, Ernestine Andrade, grandchildren, Kayla, Madison, Kareem and Khali; sister, Hattie; brother in law (Terry), aunts, uncles, niece, cousins and devoted friends.

I remember going to Boston in the summer to visit cousins Sharon and big Mingo- he would cook and take us all over the city. And he could cook!! The best seafood spaghetti ever!

To the family and friends of Domingo Andrade,
I am very sorry for your loss.
May you find comfort in the Bible’s hope that one day we will see our lost loved ones again.
Jesus showed how this promise is sure when he resurrected Lazarus. John 11:1-44.
Such bible truths provide us with hope and comfort as we look forward to the day
when death will no longer be and those who have already succumbed to this enemy will be awakened
onto a Paradisiac earth, to a life free of pain, sorrow and the worries of ever dying again.
Even though this wonderful Promise from the One who can and will fulfill it
doesn’t take away our pain and grief with death.
My wish is that this wonderful hope will bring you all a measure of comfort.
Genesis 2:7, 8, 15; Isaiah 55:11; Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:3, 4;
and 1Corinthians 15:25, 26

Domingo (Biggie) you will be so missed by us. Whenever we were all together we had so much fun, laughter and joy. Jim and you talked about the good old days at the Sugar Shack and all the old rhythm and blues groups from back in the day. The boys (Jimmy and Chris) always liked coming to visit and had so much love and respect for you. We know you are in a better place, where you can rest and be with your Lord and Savior. We will miss you Biggie!
