Obituary for Cortez Phillip "Cody" Riley

Fifty nine years ago, Cortez Phillip Riley became a fifth blessing to the union between Lillian Williams and Leon Riley. He was a quiet and delightful child who clung closely to his family. This family eventually settled at Columbia Point in Dorchester, MA. He was educated in the Boston Public School System and obtained his diploma from South Boston High School.

Cody’s surviving brothers and sisters describe him as an “outstanding brother” who was always giving to his immediate family, to extended family members, and would not discriminate when it came to friends. He always presented himself as a genuinely generous individual. He was quick to share his “gold” wealth. His siblings diligently applaud him and the legacy he left behind.

Many nephews, nieces, cousins, and other family members mourn the loss of Cortez. His surviving brothers and sisters are Nadine Riley-Harris of Boston, MA. Leon Riley, Jr., of Boston, MA., Anthony Riley (Pricilla) of Boston, MA., Yvette Riley of Randolph, MA., Derrick Riley of Boston, MA., Erick Riley of Dorchester, MA., and Scott Riley of Boston, MA., Cortez was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Lillian Riley and one brother, Kent Riley.

A Viewing will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 2:00 to 3:00pm followed by Funeral Service at 3:00 O’clock at Riley-Antoine Funeral Home 171 Humboldt Ave., Dorchester, MA 02121.

Final Disposition: St. Michael Crematory
