Dennis Farmer Sr.
Dennis entered this world August 17, 1954, to the late William D. and Lillian B. Farmer of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. His family of parents and eight children moved to Boston, Massachusetts, in 1966. Two additional children were born in Boston. He never married but has one child, 16-year-old Dennis E. Farmer, Jr., whom he doted on and would have carried around and about in his pocket if it were possible. Dennis attended the University of Massachusetts, Boston Campus, as a young man.
He was a man of humble beginnings and endings but somewhere along his life travels he studied and acquired an appreciation and taste for art and antiques and collected and sold both for nominal gains. He spoke a lot about selling prints to various Boston galleries. Ken Burns’ Civil War, Baseball and Supreme Court history DVD series was something else Dennis had an interest in.
A person could find Dennis anytime, day or night, at home reading about and looking over some work of art or antique he had gotten from any number of sources, i.e., found, purchased from a second-hand/good will store or provided by someone who was discarding an item and was aware he was a collector in an attempt to research it to determine its authenticity.
Dennis was very much a private individual who enjoyed his own space when he was not spending time with Dennis Jr.
He leaves a host of loving family and friends to cherish his memory.
