On Wednesday December 16, 1942 Michael Lee Shelton was born in New York City to the late Ruth Shelton. Michael was the eldest of 4 children, 2 sisters Marcie and Helen and one brother Clifford. Michael along with his mother and siblings grew up on 123rd Street in the heart of the city of New York what is referred to as “The Shelton Block” due to the large population of the Shelton Family living on that same street. He grew up looking up to Mr. Sonny as a father figure in his life. Michael along with his best and lifetime friend Jack McNeal attended and graduated from Charles Evans Hughes High School in the year of 1961.
At the age of 16, Michael laid eyes on Carol Willis and told her they would wed one day. On January 27, 1963 that came to past and they were joined together in marriage. Out of this union three children were born, Karen Elaine, Michael Kevin and Kristal Ruthette who are all zodiac sign of a cancer.
Michael decided to relocate to Boston, Massachusetts to find work to better provide for his family. He found employment at HP Hood Ice Creamery in Charlestown, Massachusetts. Shortly after working for Hood’s Ice Cream, Michael moved his family to Boston and lived in the Dorchester area.

After an agreeable separation between Michael and Carol they had decided to remain the best of friends. Later on he met his significant other and soulmate Mary Bolding who has been together for the last 25 years. In this relationship they both looked out for each other’s well being.
