Lawrence Jemmott Jr.
Lawrence Joseph Jemmott Jr. affectionately known as (Little Larry) was born in Boston, MA on May 09, 1987 to Lawrence Jemmott Sr. and Ollie Jones Jemmott.
Larry resided in the Boston area before his passing. He also attended Boston Public Schools before moving to Brockton, MA, wherein he graduated from Brockton High.
Little Larry was also given another nick name by paternal grandmother. She named him “Bingo”
before he was born because his mother played BINGO all the time while she was pregnant. Larry’s family and friends called him Bingo until he was eight years, when one day he told the family “my name is Larry”
Larry worked at UPS for five years, mostly during the holiday seasons. He also worked in the restaurant industry and other odd jobs. His life’s desire was to become a “Construction Worker”.
Larry had a quite demeanor. He enjoyed “old school” music, as well as today’s era “Rap” music. In his younger years, Larry and his two sisters were in the Murray Hill Drum and Bugle Corp. Larry was a drummer. As a part of the team, they marched in many parades throughout Boston and surrounding communities. Larry had unconditional love for his family and friends. At family gatherings, Larry could be found seated very close to the fruit bowl. Larry could make a full meal just eating fruit alone.
Larry leaves to mourn his mother Ollie (Jones) Jemmott; his father Lawrence Joseph Jemmott Sr.; Sisters - LaShonda Jemmott and Delenora Jemmott; His dear nieces - Madison, Brooke and Mia; Aunts - Deborah Smith and her husband Douglas Smith; Frances Robinson; Francell Simmons; Angela Allen her husband Fred Allen and Karen Jemmott; Uncles - Phillip and David Jemmott; as well as a host of other relatives, many loving cousins and dear friends. Larry was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Frances and Richard Jemmott; His maternal grandmother Peggy Jones.
There will be a Viewing on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 2:00 to 3:00pm followed by Funeral Service at 3:00 O'clock at Riley-Antoine Funeral Home 171 Humboldt Ave., Dorchester, MA 02121
