Lonell Holloman Jr.
Lonell Holloman Jr. was born December 21, 1980 in Boston, MA, to Martha (Holloman) Hays and the late Lonell Holloman Sr. He received his education through the Boston Public school system.
He was christened and baptized at Holy Tabernacle Church under the pastorate of Bishop Joe L. Smith.
Lonell had a great sense of humor and the best smile ever. He was loving, kind, caring, respectful, and was known for his good character. He was one who would shy away from trouble and always strived to keep the peace. But, He loved to drink sometimes. At least 6 or 7 times a day. I think that why he was always grinning. He had to have his coffee with his breakfast, lunch and dinner. Preferably, Dunkin Donuts. He was known to some as a “Dunk-a -holic”! When he wasn’t drinking coffee, he would walk from Fields Corner to Uphams Corner (sometimes at midnight) just to check on his Grandma Gales, see her face, and make sure she was alright. On his birthdays, he would make sure everyone cleaned their plate before leaving. It wouldn’t be a trip to Cathay Pacific without having, “You have to eat everything, or they won’t give us more next time!” being said as the check arrived at the table. Or at Poopie’s 6th birthday party, he volunteered to be the “pony” as her guests rode on his back and he pranced around the backyard. During his hospital stays, he would call his Bay Cove family. Just to check on them to make sure they were doing well, although he wasn’t in the best of health. He went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2018 to join his grandmother Annie Mae Holloman and father, who preceded him in death.
He leaves a devoted and loving family to cherish his memory: Steven and Martha Hays, three sisters Lynnette “Poopie” Holloman (nieces Kiara and Tiana Holloman) of Memphis, TN , Danielle Joseph of Malden, MA, Nancy Joseph of Columbus, GA, and brother Brandon Joseph of Vicenza, Italy; Grandparents Raymond L. Gales Sr., Veleria “Pee Wee” Gales, and Lafayette Holloman; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to mourn his passing.
