Katherine “Kitty” Marie Bland, 61 entered into eternal peace on Friday March 9th, 2018 at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Kitty was born to the late Franklyn Andrew Bland and Rosetta Lucille Bland in Ocean City, New Jersey on October 23, 1956. She was educated in the Pleasantville, New Jersey school system and went on to graduate from Fisher College, in Boston Massachusetts, on August of 1981 with an Associates degree in Business Administration. Kitty was employed in various fields throughout her life. Many of which were with The Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Most near and dear to her was a love for cooking, and this led her into food services. Cooking for others, brought her to Verizon as head chef in the employee cafeteria. Lastly, she was employed with Beaver Country Day School via Sage Dining Services where she served and planned healthy meals for children. She will be sadly missed at the school, by the children and colleagues who became her friends.
Kitty was an active and respected member of the Good Shepherd Church C.O.G.I.C. She supported her church family in many ways especially with her “good cooking” and love to serve personality. Kitty had a loving, good, generous heart and she always supported others. Kitty left a lasting impression on everyone she met and could touch a heart with a smile. Those who knew her, also enjoyed her sense of humor. Kitty adored her three daughters and she spoke highly of them anytime she had an opportunity.
Kitty leaves her loving memories to be cherished by: a Fiancé, Joe Nathan Hall, Daughters: JoJuan Maxwell, Lucian Campbell, and Tasha Ochieng. Son-in-laws: Jerry Maxwell and Jeffrey Ochieng.
