Virginia Lee White was born on November 8, 1923 in Boston Massachusetts to John and Carrie White. She was the youngest of four children consisting of three sons James, John, Ralph and one daughter Virginia.
The loving White family attended 12th Baptist Church in Boston where Virginia was very active. It was at 12th Baptist Church where Virginia at an early age gave her life to Christ and served as a dedicated member for over 80 years.
Following her graduation from Girls High School Virginia worked for Hood Rubber. She later went on to work for the state as a principal clerk until she retired. After retirement she operated a child care center from her home along with her close friend Gertrude Hester.
Virginia had a passion for sewing and was an expert seamstress. Other hobbies included playing cards with her friends at Brookdale Senior Center and also going to the casinos with her niece Beverly Martin.
Virginia was a devoted sister, aunt and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her brothers James, John and Ralph.
Those left to cherish her are her five nephews Stephen White, Rahshad Black, Michael Black, Wayne and Izaac Hester; six nieces Sharon White Black (Michael), Tanika Fowler (Durant), Stacie Jordan (Brian), Rachel White, Beverly Martin and Sondra Mayes, a godson Donell Mayes and a host of other relatives and friends she dearly loved.
There will be a Viewing on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00am followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 O'clock at Riley-Antoine Funeral Home 171 Humboldt Avenue, Dorchester, MA 02121
Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery , Boston, MA
