Douglas Lee White was born on October 15, 1954 to the late Clarence and Hilda White of Suffolk, Virginia. He received his education in the Nansemond County Public Schools in Suffolk, Virginia. After graduating high school, he relocated to Boston, MA.
Douglas was employed by First Data Resources, Inc. as a technician, until the company relocated to Omaha, Nebraska. He decided to remain in Boston with family. He would babysit for his niece’s children if needed. He worked various jobs until his health began to declined, which resulted in him going on dialysis and losing his vision.
Douglas or Uncle Doug as he was known, was a lively presence at all family gatherings. He enjoyed playing cards, listening to music, and dancing. He was a devoted uncle, a loving brother, and trusted friend to many.
Douglas unexpectedly departed this life on January 16, 2018. He leaves to mourn his passing three sisters Barbara Armstrong, Linda Woodard, of Boston, MA and Sandra Wilson of Randolph, MA.; one brother Clarence White Jr. of Portsmouth, VA; three nephews Corey Armstrong, Danny Roberts of Boston, and Muneer Elahi (Michael) of New London, CT; Erick and Derrick White of Portsmouth, Va. Six nieces Karen, Kimberly, Sharon, Pamela, Tracy, Aisha and Janett all of Boston, MA: a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. We will miss him greatly.
