Obituary for Kurtis DePina
Kurtis Jai’Sean DePina was born April 9, 1998 in Boston, MA to Nicole DePina and Marivon “Sean” Shuler. Kurtis was a graduate of Randolph High School in 2016. Growing up he enjoyed basketball, music, dancing and spending time with family. Kurtis was full of life, he was charismatic and had a smile that would melt your heart. Kurtis was loving, considerate and loyal to loved ones and friends. He was playful, energetic and funny. Kurtis was confident and he exemplified, leadership skills. Kurtis had a love for Sci-Fi movies such as Twilight, Teen Wolf and nonfiction films but the reality of his life is that he loved his family.
Kurtis aspired to become a registered nurse, to own his own body shop and to go to school for criminal justice. His goal was to further his education and to provide a good life for his daughter. He was loved and adored by all who knew him. With a beautiful smile and a touching heart he left an imprint on the lives of many.
Kurtis is lovingly remembered by his parents and his siblings. Kurtis leaves behind siblings Khristopher J., Aajah N., Kameron J., Aneesa D., Korbin J., Kirston J. his beloved girlfriend Aryan Jones, his grandparents Manuel and Beverly DePina, and Marian Shuler, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of extended family and friends.
There will be a Viewing on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00am followed by Funeral Service at 11:00am at Twelfth Baptist Church 150 Warren Street, Roxbury, MA 02119
Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery.
