Obituary for Loareain Butts (Wright)
Loareain M. Butts was born in Franklin, Virginia on July 18, 1944 to Johnnie Wright & Dolly Wright-Pope. She attended elementary school at the Hansom Elementary School in Hamsom,VA and shortly after attended school at Franklin Elementary. The family frequently attended church and Sunday school at St. Paul Baptist Church.
She later grew up and married John Butts. In 1969 Loareain moved to Boston, Massachusetts to raise her children, and offer them a better future. She was known for her love of baking beautiful cakes for all occassions, and cooking food for the soul. She was a socialite amongst her community, showing hospitality and always friendly to her neighbors.
She was indeed a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, auntie, and friend to all that she loved. She never lacked to express her compassion for people on a daily basis. She kept God close to her, and attended Timothy Baptist Church. She re-dedicated her life to Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in July 2017. She will be truly missed and held close to the hearts of those that had the chance to enjoy & love the person she was.
She leaves behind her beloved children, Linda Hollins, Tony Riley (Priscilla), Lonnie Wright, Johnnie Butts, Roshon Butts (Sherri). As well as her only sister Thelma Lomba-Wright.
She adored, and will be cherished forever by her grandchildren, great grand children, family & friends.
There will be a Viewing on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00am followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 O’clock at the Riley-Antoine Funeral Home, 171 Humboldt Ave., Dorchester, MA 02121.
Interment: Fairview Cemetery.
