Obituary for Norman Hill Jr.

Norman J. Hill, Jr.:

Retired Boston Police Deputy Superintendent Norman J. Hill, Jr., a resident of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and a former resident of Boston and Mattapan (MA), passed from this life, while in hospice care, on February 4, 2017, in Broward County, FL, after a short but heroic battle with cancer. He was 57 years old. Norman is the beloved son of the late Barbara and Norman Hill, Sr., and the dear brother of the recently deceased Debra Hill and the late Daniel Hill. Norman is survived by his nephew, Dana Hill, and his great nephew, Daniel, and is lovingly remembered by his cherished family, friends, and brothers and sisters in blue.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Norman Hill’s memorial service on Friday, April 14, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Riley-Antoine Funeral Home, 171 Humboldt Ave., Dorchester, MA 02121.

His mortal remains were cremated at the All County Funeral Home & Crematory, and his ashes will be buried with his sister, Debra Hill, at Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston, following their joint memorial funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society
